The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. German Melodic Death Metal. Non-stop blast beats & tremolo riffs as well as fantastic melodies - what more could you want? FFO Amon Amarth (but better!) & Insomnium. My only problem is it is far too short for a full length & more is needed... :) Lucky I bought their entire discography! Highly recommended!!!

I’ve been a fan of In Flames since 96’ and I’ve stopped listening to them after “Come Clarity”, but I still have faith in them knowing one day, they’ll make a come back with a heavier album and “Foregone” is that come back album of sorts, it’s a mash up of all that they’ve done and it is a good solid modern melodic death metal album.
